Wienerberger UK & Ireland has extended its partnership with homeless charity Emmaus UK, committing to donate 50p for every full pallet of Danum and Dual Danum TLE concrete roof tile products sold in 2025.
In 2024, Wienerberger launched its first-ever social impact strategy aimed at tackling homelessness. As part of this, the business forged a partnership with Emmaus UK, contributing £10,000 to the charity’s Companion Training and Wellbeing Fund – a grants programme that allows companions to access funding for training and education, including opportunities within the construction sector.
This year, Wienerberger is strengthening its partnership with Emmaus through a new initiative: for every full pallet of Danum or Dual Danum TLE roof tiles purchased directly from Wienerberger, 50p will be donated to Emmaus’s Build Your Community Grant and its core programmes. Wienerberger aims to donate £55,000 this year as a result of this initiative.
The Build Your Community Grant supports Emmaus UK’s efforts to improve companion accommodation, including purchasing or renovating properties and funding new-build projects.
On this new initiative, Sarah Nurton, Social Impact Manager at Wienerberger, said: “We are proud of the impact we’ve already made through our partnership with Emmaus UK. Our collaboration isn’t just about donations—it’s about creating lasting change. By funding housing projects and essential services, we’re helping to provide not just shelter, but stability and opportunity.”
Robyn Cummins, Director of Fundraising and Influence at Emmaus UK, added: “We are delighted to expand our collaboration with wienerberger as part of its continued commitment to tackling homelessness. This partnership and the funds raised will have a significant impact. We believe that no-one’s life should be defined by homelessness. Together, we will support people to put their lives back on track and build a better future. We look forward to what this next chapter brings for our partnership.”
