Building Information Modelling (BIM) working group BIM4M2 has partnered with the Construction Products Association (CPA) to host an informative CPD event on 13 April in London, providing an overview of BIM requirements for manufacturers.

With the announcement that 4 April is the first day that centrally procured public sector projects will require the use of BIM level two and many developers and contractors already adopting the technology, it is crucial for manufacturers to have a BIM content strategy.

Taking place at The Building Centre in London at 1:30pm, this comprehensive BIM event will provide insight into what is required by clients, architects and contractors and give impartial guidance on options for providing BIM content. The event is a fully accredited CPD programme and is suitable for both manufacturers considering BIM and those who already have a BIM offering.

Chris Witte, chairman of BIM4M2, said: “BIM presents manufacturers with a great opportunity to develop their business and get ahead of the competition. Our hope is that this event will provide manufacturers with all the information they need to understand what the market wants and requires, as well as enabling them to put together a strong BIM strategy that will future proof their business.”

Designed to cater for both marketing and technical personnel, the event will include a variety of talks from leaders within key industry organisations including Knauf Insulation, Balfour Beatty, Carillion, the CPA and BIM4M2.

Registration opens from 1:30pm for a 2:00pm start and the event costs £40.00 to attend. To book a place please visit the CIMCIG website, call 01628 427 340 or email
