The Builders Merchant Federation (BMF) demonstrated its intent to make it the “go to” trade body for every sector of the merchanting industry while exhibiting at the Totally Tools show at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry this month.
While at the show, BMF managing director John Newcomb took the opportunity to congratulate the Federation’s latest member, Toolbank, which was named BHF Supplier of the Year at the exhibition.
Toolbank, a specialist distributor of hand and power tools is committed to the merchant trade and only supplies genuine resellers. Its latest achievement follows on from another prestigious award as NBG’s Supplier of the Year for Tools & Workwear 2013.
Mr Newcomb said: “We signalled the BMF’s desire to increase its presence in this important lightside sector when we exhibited here for the first time last year, so I am extremely pleased to welcome into membership one of Europe’s leading specialist distributors, and a company that is so well-regarded by merchants throughout the UK.”
Commenting on joining the BMF, Simon Bicknell, group sales director at Toolbank, said: “We are delighted to join so many of the leading merchants and groups working with the BMF in their goals of supporting, training and representing the interests of all those involved in the UK construction industry.”
