The BMF is shortlisted in the Best Covid-19 Crisis Response and Best Membership Support During Covid-19 categories of the Association Excellence Awards.
The Builders Merchants Federation’s swift and decisive action in the immediate aftermath of the first Covid lockdown has been recognised with nominations in two categories of the prestigious Association Excellence Awards.
The BMF is shortlisted in the Best Covid-19 Crisis Response and Best Membership Support During Covid-19 categories of the Awards, which showcase outstanding work being done in UK Trade Associations and Professional Membership organisations and highlight excellence in how they operate and serve their members.
The shortlisted entries demonstrated the BMF’s immediate response to provide the information and advice members’ needed to safeguard their staff, their customers and their business when the crisis first struck, and communications work undertaken to promote a positive profile of the industry and highlight the donations and support provided by BMF members to their local communities and the NHS.
BMF CEO, John Newcomb, said: “We are honoured and delighted to see the hard work of the whole BMF team acknowledged by our peers. At the start of an extraordinary 12 months, our prime concern was to ensure our members could get back to work quickly and safely, and then to represent and support their interests through the crisis.
"The connections we made during that period, in particular becoming members of the Construction Leadership Council Taskforce, have undoubtedly raised the profile and significance of the building materials sector with Government, which will have lasting benefits for BMF members.”
The winners will be announced on 29 June, at an Awards Ceremony in London.
