Ridgeons recently wished Brian Minns, a driver at its Rocklands branch, a warm goodbye following his retirement.
Mr Minns joined Ridgeons at what was then the Attleborough branch in 1989, from Avon Lippiatt Hobbs, where he'd been employed as an HGV driver. During his employment at Ridgeons, Mr Minns has become a friendly face around many of the sites in the region and is fondly referred to as “Minny”.
Paul Cockerill, operations manager at Rocklands, said: "We will greatly miss Brian's friendliness, good humour and amazing time keeping – always being the first to arrive at the branch. He was always really conscientious and hard working."
Director Gordon Ridgeon said: "Brian is a dedicated, friendly and very hard-working driver. He's always been willing to go the extra mile and is very knowledgeable about our customers, which means he has been able to offer them an exceptional service. On behalf of the Ridgeon family and directors, I would like to thank Brian for his individual contribution to the Group and wish him a long, happy and well-deserved retirement."
As a retiree, Mr Minns is hoping to return to his much-loved sport of outdoor bowls and spend more time with his two daughters and three grandchildren.
