ForgeFix has announced that Jewson has become the latest industry giant to support its ‘Screw Prostate Cancer’ campaign.
In a move that will significantly boost awareness of the campaign and accelerate ForgeFix’s aim of raising £100,000 and getting 100,000 men to take the award-winning Prostate Cancer UK online risk checker test, Jewson will stock the Screw Prostate Cancer range of Spectre-branded products in nearly 400 branches across the UK.
Paul Swift, Managing Director at Galleon Fixings / ForgeFix, said: “Having Jewson come on board to stock the ‘Screw Prostate Cancer’ Spectre range across its estate is fantastic for our campaign with Prostate Cancer UK.
"We’re grateful to all the team at Jewson who see the importance of this campaign, and all of their colleagues in branches across the UK who will be promoting these products and raising vital funds for the ‘Screw Prostate Cancer’ campaign.”
ForgeFix is using Spectre as the public-facing brand for the partnership with Prostate Cancer UK and is leveraging its position within the male dominated construction industry to raise awareness of a disease that affects 1 in 8 men, which is now England’s most common cancer.
Explaining the company’s involvement, Ian Goldsmith, Chief Strategy Officer for Stark Building Materials UK Ltd, the parent company of Jewson, said: “We’re delighted to be supporting ForgeFix’s Spectre fixings promotion, and to be helping the ‘Screw Prostate Cancer’ campaign in support of Prostate Cancer UK. It’s really important that customers look after their health and this includes men making sure they get regular check-ups – and how they can do that. As a business, we’re very proud to be supporting the campaign and playing our part to make it a success.”
