Since it was originally formed as part of Westlands Engineers Ltd, Garador has been making Britain’s best-selling Up and Over garage doors.

Garador currently offers four materials in its Up and Over range: Steel, Timber, GRP and PVC. Not to mention an extensive choice of over 60 door styles. Their Up and Over door range continues to be a favourite with builders from Land’s End all the way through to John O’Groats, and it’s no surprise as they continue to invest and innovate in their products.

Garador’s Managing Director, Simon Hipgrave argues ‘It’s a competitive business and we are determined to stay at the top of our game, which means investing in new products and production technology’

Not only are the Up and Over doors durable and competitively priced, but they are also quick and easy to fit. Which is great as it makes life easier for the builder; saving them time and money on site. For example, one of their framed up and over garage doors using canopy lifting gear can be fitted behind the brickwork with as few as 7 fixings, while a framed up and over garage door with retractable gear door requires as little as 11 fixings.

When you factor in a steel frame, the installation is quicker and more accurate than if a timber sub-frame were used. Furthermore, there is no need to paint the steel frame and is it is supplied pre-painted, so there is no need to paint your timber sub-frame and to top it all off, there is no need to use strips of PVC to fill in any gaps around the timber sub-frame.
