Grant UK has sponsored a local children’s charity’s Winter Ball, joining the fundraising efforts for Julia’s House, which will be opening a new hospice in Devizes, Wiltshire, where Grant has its headquarters.
Julia’s House supports seriously ill children who do not have access to the level of care and support that they need. In 2014, Julia’s House expanded its service into Wiltshire with a small team of community nurses and carers and, in Spring 2017, the charity will be opening a new hospice in Devizes, the first of its kind in the county.
With a champagne reception, four course dinner, auction and live band, 170 people attended the Winter Ball, with an auction and other activities raising funds to support the work of Julia’s House.
“The new hospice is based close to our headquarters, so it was an instinctive decision for Grant UK to become a headline sponsor at the Winter Ball,” said Anna Wakefield, marketing and communications manager for Grant UK. “In addition to having a table at the event, Grant UK donated prizes for the auction including a round of golf for four people at Bowood Championship Golf Course, two tickets to a Bath Rugby Club home game at The Rec, and a meal for two at Bowood Hotel’s Shelburne Restaurant.”
