Hevey Building Supplies acquires MAP Building & Civil Engineering Supplies

Hevey Building Supplies has announced its acquisition of MAP Building & Civil Engineering Supplies Ltd.

Established in 2003, MAP is based in Ilkeston, Derbyshire and specialises in Heavyside and Civils for the East Midlands and Derbyshire. Under the ownership of Martin McCaul and Philip West the company has gone from strength to strength. Both will be staying on for the immediate future.

Mark Mulvey, Managing Director of Hevey Building Supplies, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to acquire this well-established business from its current owners. Map has great staff and a strong customer base, a reputation for great service and a comprehensive stock holding. The addition adds to our delivery coverage in the Midlands area.”

Hevey Building Supplies are part of Lords Group Trading Ltd (LGT) and this latest acquisition means that the group civils coverage now spreads from Derby down to the South-East.

The acquisition continues the growth plan for the family-owned Group, which is aiming to become a top five supplier of building materials in the next five years.
