Jewson’s national contractor sales team will ‘advance to go’ in a fundraising event on 17 July in Central London. The Monopoly Walk will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the company’s on-going ‘Together’ charity partnership.

The activity involves the team of 19 visiting every location on the famous London-based, Hasbro board game, Monopoly. On the day, the Jewson employees will be wearing Monopoly-themed tabards while visiting London landmarks including Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square and Pentonville prison. The team aim to raise vital funds by walking the 22 streets and four stations along the entire 15-mile route.

Alex Rawson, sector director said: “At Jewson we believe that Macmillan is an incredible charity that provides essential support for those with cancer and their families. The team is extremely committed to doing something to help, and this activity is a great opportunity to bring together colleagues, customers and suppliers while raising money for charity.”

Having already received support from suppliers Lafarge, Graf and Norbord, the team is also raising money through a Just Giving page and raffle. The raffle contains prizes such as a full bathroom suite, a drinks cooler, shopping vouchers, driving experiences and football tickets.
