COVENTRY: Jewson has raised £5900 for its charity partner Barnardo's with a ‘Buy a Brick’ campaign. This latest amount will be added to the £320 000 that Jewson employees, suppliers and customers have helped raise since May 2011.

Jewson’s campaign offered the national merchant’s suppliers the chance to buy a brick at a minimum cost of £100 with their logo on it, which formed part of a brick wall display at Jewson’s head office in Binley, Coventry.

Peter Stringer, managing director of Jewson said: "We would like to thank all the suppliers who supported our Buy a Brick campaign. Due to their generosity we exceeded our original target, with all the bricks snapped up in just six weeks.

"Jewson employees, customers and suppliers have done a fantastic job helping to raise over £320 000, but there is still more we can do, so we are pleased to confirm we will continue to partner with Barnardos throughout 2013."

Suppliers who contributed to the Buy a Brick fundraiser include: DBM, Gloucester Rugby, Yale, LPD, Wavin, Bosch, Polypipe Civils, Jeld-wen, Crown Paints, Velux, Premdor, Marshalls, Routeways, Spax, ASP and Carlisle Brass.
