Lords Group Trading has announced the promotion of Neil Lake to the newly created role of Group Business Development Director, and the appointment of Matthew Webber as the first Chief Operating Officer of its plumbing and heating division, APP Wholesale Ltd.

Webber brings a wealth of experience with over 20 years in the HVAC sector. His extensive background spans both supplier/manufacturer roles and merchant businesses, with a strong emphasis on the plumbing and heating industry. In his role as COO, effective 2 September 2025, he will have full P&L responsibility for all five Plumbing & Heating Businesses: APP Wholesale, Ultimate Renewables, HRP Trade, Direct Heating, and Mr Central Heating. Webber will also sit on the Operating Board of APP’s parent company Lords Group Trading Plc.

The appointment follows the promotion of Neil Lake to the newly created role of Group Business Development Director of Lords Group Trading Plc where he will continue to sit on the Operating Board. Lake has played a key role in leading APP Wholesale Ltd since joining through the acquisition of HRP Trade and Direct Heating, and will continue to maintain significant influence within the P&H division, alongside Webber in his new role.
