Wavin has announced the creation of a new specification team led by Business Development Director Martyn Neil.

Martyn Neil, who has over 25-years' experience in the plumbing and drainage manufacturer industry, will be heading up the newly created Upstream Sales team across the UK and Ireland.

The team is focused on engagement with specifiers to ensure that Wavin’s products are embedded into projects from concept to completion. It covers a wide-ranging portfolio of engineering solutions for hot and cold-water systems, soil and waste, rainwater and stormwater management and indoor climate solutions.

Neil’s role will be to deliver growth through a consultative, technical approach and, along with his team, support the full project lifecycle. This includes helping customers align with the impending Future Homes Standard, meet construction decarbonisation targets, and embrace Wavin’s ‘Seeing Water Differently’ philosophy to deliver smarter, more sustainable water management solutions.

Commenting on the announcement Martyn Neil said: “I am delighted to step into this new role, and the creation of this team gives us an exciting opportunity to help specifiers overcome the challenges of decarbonisation and water scarcity in construction projects. By engaging early with specifiers and key stakeholders, we can provide tailored solutions, offer the right products, and apply Wavin’s teams' in-depth knowledge to ensure projects are efficient, sustainable, and successful.”

Neil was previously responsible for leading Wavin’s Indoor Climate Solutions (ICS) team and helped launch the Wavin Installer Network (WIN), a programme which brings together installers working with underfloor heating, heat networks, ventilation, and controls together with clients who need support with these solutions. He is succeeded by Ben Perris who joins the company with more than three decades of experience in the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry.

Neil added: “Ben brings a wealth of experience to the ICS team at Wavin. His previous roles in the underfloor heating, controls, and sustainable building industries demonstrate his commitment to driving forward low carbon solutions, championing innovation, whilst focusing on delivering for customers. He is the perfect person to lead the ICS team in making net zero-ready housing a reality.”
