MKM has appointed Rik Pepper as its new Head of Plumbing, Heating and Bathrooms.
With three decades of industry experience, Pepper brings a vast knowledge of trade trends and innovative new products to MKM. He will focus on ensuring the brand’s more than 120 nationwide branches are offering the highest quality, sustainability-focused products to customers.
Pepper’s experience includes senior positions at Plumbase and Jackson Building Centre, where he built a strong reputation within the industry.
Pepper and the MKM Plumbing, Heating and Bathrooms team are currently meeting MKM’s Branch Directors and customer base to identify opportunities for further development across product range and service, with key conversations taking place regarding upcoming legislation changes affecting the heating and plumbing sector.
Pepper said: “I’m looking forward to supporting our branches across the UK to make sure we are delivering the highest quality plumbing, heating and bathroom products to customers.
“Right now, our industry is in a pivotal period, with numerous regulations either changing or being introduced and exciting product innovations happening all the time.
“It’s been great to meet with our suppliers, who are proactively telling us how they have prepared for the incoming Part L and Part G Building Regulation changes and beyond.
“This is something that our customers will need our support on and is a big focus for us right now.
“Of course, sustainability is crucial to us too - that is the way the industry is heading, so we’re aiming to partner with people who are committed to that.
“That way we can support our branches to be as strong as they possibly can be and in turn, meet our customer's needs.”
