A technically challenging redevelopment of a former office building in Bedfordshire, which has been transformed into high class apartments, has involved the specification of Marley Plumbing & Drainage’s Solvent Waste system for use throughout the new apartments.

Carlton House is among a number of projects undertaken for Galliard Homes by M&E specialist Link 365, while Southampton based PVC Building Supplies and Hevac Ltd are the two plumbers’ merchant chains, supplying all of the Marley materials to site.

Link 365’s work extends across high-end residential and general domestic projects, commercial office contracts and education, with Gerry Somers being the director supervising the Galliard contracts. He commented: “Our company works right across the South-east and we have a number of jobs on at present where we are using Marley Solvent Waste and other systems, including Carlton House where we are fitting out 111 units.

“The Marley solvent weld waste system is really good to work with, offering speed and reliable performance, while the manufacturer is really competitive in the market place: offering good value and service.”

Marley Plumbing & Drainage’s very versatile Solvent Waste system is suitable for use both inside and outside the property, while it is available in 32, 40 and 50mm sizes.  There is also a full selection of bends, branches, couplings, adaptors or reducers and clips to suit virtually any application. The Solvent Waste system provides speed of installation with robust performance and reliability, while the manufacturer’s technical sales team will provide specification advice and site support.

The Commercial Manager for PVC Building Supplies, Ray Cronin, confirmed: “We have stocked Marley HDPE and their other ranges for six years now.  It is a very successful relationship; they provide PVC Building Supplies with an excellent service ensuring that we can deliver their products on time from our depot in Hampshire, covering the south of the country from Gloucester up to Bedford and across to Margate.”

Now known as Arrowhead House, the apartments were successfully handed over to Galliard Homes and have proved very popular with their occupants.
