SIG UK is announcing the appointment of Dan Rowlson as Health and Safety Director.

This is a new role, reflecting the priorities of the new management team.  Dan joins the business at an exciting time of buoyant commercial performance and a renewed sense of direction.

With a strong career in delivering Health and Safety initiatives at organisations as diverse as Glastonbury Festival and Sainbury’s, Dan plans to bring his knowledge and expertise to take safety at SIG UK to the next level. As part of the Return To Growth strategy which has seen SIG UK come back financially stronger, the business is committed to making Health and Safety a key organisational priority.

Dan’s role will be to review the model for Health and Safety within SIG UK, and implement cultural change. This involves a thorough review of processes and removing barriers or processes that don’t add value. The aim is to make Health and Safety more engaging, looking at what realistically works for employees and for the business.

His hope is to capitalise on the momentum generated by the success of the Return To Growth strategy and enact positive change within the business. In turn, Dan sees this as an opportunity not only to improve safety within SIG UK but make the business a more attractive employer.

Speaking on his appointment, Dan commented; “I’m really excited to join SIG UK as the business goes from strength to strength. There is a drive internally to be the best for Health and Safety and I can’t wait to contribute and lead the overall strategy. I’m really focused on people at the end of the day and this appointment signifies the commitment from SIG UK to its employees too.”
