Makita UK has extended its powerful XGT 40VMax and 80VMax cordless ranges with the launch of the CE001G 355mm Disc Cutter, JR002G Reciprocating Saw, CS002G 185mm Metal Cutter, PB002G Portable Band Saw, ML007G Worklight and GA040G, GA041G, GA043G and GA044G Angle Grinders.

With these XGT machines, tradespeople have the power to tackle heavy duty tasks with ease, without compromising on battery run time.

CE001G XGT 80VMax 355mm Disc Cutter

Powered by two XGT 40VMax batteries, this machine delivers an impressive maximum output of 3,600W and no-load speed of 5,300rpm, making light work of any high-demand application. In addition, the CE001G has a large wheel diameter of 355mm and offers a maximum cutting capacity of 127mm, so it is ideal for use on larger applications.

The disc cutter is equipped with numerous safety features including Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) that automatically shuts down the machine if the rotation speed suddenly slows, an anti-restart function that prevents accidental start-up, and operators can also choose to connect a water supply to the machine to aid dust suppression.

The CE001G has also been designed with an anti-vibration housing, to prevent user fatigue. Vibration is absorbed thanks to a built-in dampening spring, resulting in vibration levels of just 2.0 m/s2 at the front handle.

JR002G XGT 40VMax Reciprocating Saw

This powerful machine is capable of extremely fast and efficient cutting through wood, metal, plastic and many other construction materials, thanks to its high power and high speed of up to 3,000 strokes per minute.

Offering capacity in wood of up to 255mm and 130mm in pipe, the tool features variable speed control so that output can be effortlessly adjusted to suit the task in hand. Constant speed control allows continual operational efficiency and minimal risk of overload, with the in-built torque limiter also providing protection to the user.

As well as the anti-restart function to prevent accidental start up, for increased user safety, the JR002G also includes Makita’s anti-vibration technology (AVT) that works to cancel out the vibration for added user protection.

CS002G XGT 40VMax 185mm Metal Cutter

This useful saw makes light work of any cutting task thanks to a no-load speed of 3,500rpm and maximum cutting capacity (at 0°) of 67mm. To keep tradespeople working as efficiently as possible, the CS002G features Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT) that automatically adjusts the output according to the load conditions.

Operators also benefit from the CS002G’s in-built dust collection system that works to improve user safety by removing dust particles during operation and an anti-restart function and safety cover to prevent accidental injury from the blade.

PB002G XGT 40VMax Portable Band Saw

Designed for cutting 4” – 4.5” steel pipes, the PB002G is a must have. It can cut up to 127mm in round pipe and 127x127mm in square pipe and delivers the increased blade speed that is needed to make cuts with ease.

With tool-less blade change, soft start, constant speed control and an electric brake the PB002G is easy to operate. There is also an adjustable stopper plate and features to ensure easy blade track adjustment.

GA040G, GA041G, GA043G and GA044G XGT 40VMax ‘X-Lock’ Angle Grinders

With the GA040G, GA041G slide switch models, and the GA043G and GA044G paddle switch models now in the range, professionals can easily find a grinder suited to the task. All machines are designed with the X-Lock blade fitting to aid quick and easy wheel changes and keep downtime to a minimum. They also feature Makita’s Active Feedback Sensing Technology (AFT), ensuring output is optimised.

To improve operator safety, the GA040G and GA043G (115mm) and GA041G and GA044G (125mm) models all feature Makita’s Auto-start Wireless System (AWS). This enables compatible dust extractors to be wirelessly connected to the machines via Bluetooth and ensures that when the power tool is in use, the extractor automatically runs.

ML007G XGT 40VMax Worklight

Delivering 1,250 lumens, the ML007G is a powerful worklight that any tradesperson can use to keep the work area illuminated. The ML007G has four lighting modes and will deliver continuous illumination of up to 5.5 hours – and the worklight head swivels 90°, making it easy to position the light towards the work area.

The ML007G also offers dust and water resistance, which is ideal for those working on busy construction sites or outside.

Kevin Brannigan, Marketing Manager at Makita said: “We are incredibly pleased to be introducing a host of new products to our growing XGT 40VMax range – bringing tradespeople an even larger selection of high-power machines that they can rely on to tackle any task.”
