Looking ahead to 2021, Roofing Megastore plans further expansion of its internal teams, continued investment, and the launch of a new website.
Online roofing merchant Roofing Megastore has revealed a 100% increase in revenue in 2020.
Founded in 2017, the roofing supplier’s success in 2020 was made possible by rapidly scaling its team, adopting new processes, and making targeted investment in response to the explosion in demand during the first COVID-19 lockdown.
With so many Brits stuck at home looking to indulge in DIY, Roofing Megastore’s customer service team quickly tripled in size to ensure that customer support wouldn’t suffer as a consequence. This allowed the business to continue serving homeowners and tradespeople by telephone and email throughout the initial phase of the pandemic and beyond.
“As a national lockdown loomed, we began expanding our team and adopting new processes weeks ahead of most other builders’ merchants. As a result of this swift action, we were able to serve more than twice as many customers when compared to the previous year,” said Gian-Carlo Grossi, Managing Director at Roofing Megastore.
“As well as demonstrating our ability to adapt quickly, this response allowed us to support tradespeople and homeowners during this difficult time. While key workers and healthcare professionals in the NHS are the true heroes of the pandemic, we’re pleased to have played our part in keeping the country moving, while demonstrating the benefits we offer over traditional builders’ merchants.”
Looking ahead to 2021, Roofing Megastore plans further expansion of its internal teams, continued investment, and the launch of a new website.
Last year over one million Brits visited Roofing Megastore’s website on the hunt for roofing and DIY supplies, as well as expert advice and inspiration for their projects, which can include everything from re-roofing a shed or garage to a full house roof replacement.
