Rudridge, specialist supplier of civil engineering and groundwork materials, has recently sponsored a valued customer in his bid to raise money for a charity close to his heart by completing the Bournemouth Half Marathon.

On Sunday 5 October, Scott Steel of KAMM Civil Engineering took on the 13 miles of the half marathon in aid of Harrison’s Trust Fund. Mr Steel has so far raised an impressive £2,110, all of which will go towards helping six-year-old Harrison Dilling. Harrison suffers from incurable spastic quadriplegia cerebral palsy and will never be able to sit, walk or talk unaided.

“I’m not a particularly enthusiastic runner and I found the Bournemouth Half Marathon a tough challenge. When I heard about Harrison’s Trust, I just knew I had to help; my dislike for running didn’t seem to matter anymore,” explained Mr Steel.

“I’ve been humbled by everyone’s generosity. The funds raised will have a huge impact on Harrison’s life. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and donated so generously.”

Darren Price, business development manager at Rudridge, added: “We value all our clients and customers and when we hear about any wonderful charity fundraising they are taking part in, we try where we can to be a part of it and show our support with donations. Well done to Scott for taking on the Bournemouth Half Marathon and for raising such a fantastic sum of money for Harrison’s Trust Fund.”
