GREATER LONDON: SAS Direct has opened a new 25 000sq ft depot in Barking which it said is "ideally located to service local contractors in the London area at the hub of new construction activity and with the Olympic site close by".
The depot stocks a full range of ceiling systems, partitioning and doors along with associated ranges including plasterboard and drylining products.
With trade counter facilities at the depot, contractors can benefit from the extensive technical product knowledge of SAS Direct staff.
Stock is available for collection and next day delivery ensuring projects are completed on time and to budget. A nationwide team of SAS Direct surveyors and glazing teams install glass for SAS International partitioning systems and other applications.
SAS Direct has four additional depots located in Leeds, Burgess Hill, Birmingham and Reading, where the head office is also sited. As part of its expansion, the company has recently doubled the size of its Birmingham depot, increased its lorry fleet, and added new products to its inventory.
Alyson Malone has been appointed manager to head the Barking business.
