Tarmac, a UK provider and producer of cement, has reached the milestone of 10m bags of packed cement sold in the UK this year.
To celebrate this occasion, Tarmac is offering both the merchant and the recipient of the bag a celebratory meal, as part of the company's Bags of Trust campaign.
The campaign celebrates Tarmac's ongoing commitment to innovation, development of the highest quality products and the ongoing loyalty of customers. The company sells over 40m bags of packed cement every year, and will also reward the sales of the 20 millionth, 30 millionth and 40 millionth bags.
The purchaser of the 10-millionth Tarmac bag was Thomas Dicher of J&J Innovative Solutions, who was named the first lucky winner alongside the team from the Staples Corner branch of Travis Perkins.
Kevan Greenhalgh, Tarmac's packed products business manager, said: "It is hugely exciting to be able to celebrate the sale of our 10-millionth bag with a valued customer. We are incredibly proud of both the quality of our product and the strong relationships we have built with our customers. The Bags of Trust campaign is a great way to celebrate these core aspects of our business.
"The blue circle that is found on all Tarmac products is an icon of excellence. Our customers know that this represents ongoing commitment to innovation and the promise that the product is of the highest standard. Therefore, from all of us at Tarmac, we'd like to thank those who have continued to use our products. We are committed to developing our offering to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our customers as best we can, and we look forward to continuing to work together."
