The six additions were each recognised for their contribution across the building materials sector.
The Worshipful Company of Builders’ Merchants welcomed six new Liverymen during a special Installation ceremony and its annual Election Court General at Armourers’ Hall.
The new Liverymen - Simon Fleet, Benjamin Giddings, Louise Williams, Josephine Crowe, Kevin Moran and James Pilbin - were each recognised for their contribution to the building materials sector and their commitment to the Company’s values.
Commenting on the special occasion, Master Lucia Di Stazio said: “It’s a pleasure to see our Livery Company continue to grow and strengthen with active members from across the building materials sector. I congratulate them all and look forward to their involvement in supporting the work and charitable efforts of the Company.”
The Election Court General also marked the formal election of the Company’s Master and Officers for the ensuing year with Kevin Fenlon elected as Master from October 2026, supported by Wardens Steve Durdant-Hollamby and Julian Milligan. Ravinder Singh Sumal was elected Keeper of the Roll.
The official proceedings were followed by a reception and dinner at Armourers’ Hall, attended by Court Assistants, Liverymen, Freemen and special guests. Principal Guest Jon Bowman, representing the Company’s military affiliation with 3PWRR The Third Battalion of the Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment, shared insight into the work of the Army Reserves and the value of collaboration between industry and the armed forces.
The event provided a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the new Liverymen and elected officers and reflect on the Company’s ongoing work across the building materials sector and in the City.
