The event raised over £8,000 for industry charities, CRASH and the Maddie Rose Foundation.
Around 1,000 guests from across the building materials industry joined the business for its annual event, which this year took place on October 24 2026, at the five-star Grosvenor House Hotel in London's Mayfair.
These guests represented a full cross-section of NMBS' membership of over 1,350 builder's, timber, roofing, hardware, plumbing, heating, plastics, and engineering and industrial merchants, as well as its network of more than 600 market-leading suppliers.
As ever, the evening offered those attending unrivalled opportunities to network in a relaxed and social setting. Guests were able to build new relationships and cement existing ones over drinks, a three-course meal and a full entertainment programme.
Following a drinks reception and once guests were seated for dinner, NMBS CEO, Kevin Williams, welcomed guests and thanked sponsoring suppliers. He also offered a brief update on NMBS' performance with the business once again on track to enjoy a record year.
After dinner, entertainment was provided by Operatico - a male vocal quartet that's often described as Britain's answer to Il Divo.
The headline performance of the evening came from The Bootleg Beatles - the world's leading tribute act to the iconic 60's rock band.
NMBS Dinner Dance regulars, Fully FunKtional also made a welcome return as the night's high energy house band and kept the dance floor packed with a set list of hits from across the decades.
Through table donations and a prize draw offering the chance to win an Apple iPad, this year's NMBS Dinner Dance raised over £8,000 for industry charities, CRASH and the Maddie Rose Foundation.
Commenting on the evening, Williams, said: "Now in its 53rd year, the NMBS Dinner Dance has become one of the biggest social events in the calendar of businesses across the building materials sector.
"Ours is an industry that involves a real sense of community and where relationships are key and the evening celebrates and builds on that. It enables merchants and suppliers to relax, socialise and build lasting connections."
