NMBS’ ability to deliver value-adding benefits for its members and suppliers is being strengthened through an evolving European alliance.

Following the successful completion of a period of due diligence and onboarding, the business has progressed from an affiliate to full equity-owning member of Euro Craft – Europe's leading consortium of buying groups for the construction and industrial sectors.

Euro Craft was founded in 1995 by the SOCODA Group, which is a major network of independent distributors for the building and industrial sectors in France.

Over the last 30 years it has continued to grow and evolve, and it now brings together seven shareholding buying cooperatives. As well as NMBS and the SOCODA Group, this includes:

  • Zevij-Necomij (Benelux)
  • 3e (Austria)
  • Nordwest (Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Poland and Austria)
  • NEOPRO (Spain)
  • Meno Group (Belgium and Luxembourg)

Collectively, the members of Euro Craft are active in over 30 countries and unite 4,500 independent businesses who between them operate 10,000 separate outlets; Euro Craft's combined purchasing power is €15 billion per annum.
