The Order of Distinction was presented by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents.

Leading offsite timber frame manufacturer, Donaldson Timber Systems, has been awarded the prestigious ‘Order of Distinction' by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA), demonstrating its commitment to the highest standards in accident prevention.

The Order of Distinction honours 17 consecutive years of Donaldson Timber Systems achieving gold RoSPA Awards, recognising excellence and leadership in health and safety. This award is given to organisations that have consistently displayed the very highest levels of health and safety in the workplace, for longer than 15 years.

2026 marks the 70th anniversary of the RoSPA Awards, which began as a small event to recognise the achievements of companies prioritising the safety of workers in UK, and has now grown into the biggest and most prestigious health and safety awards programme in the world, with the 2026 awards attracting 2,000 different entries from nearly 60 countries.

Entrants to the RoSPA Awards come from organisations of all sizes, ranging from SMEs to blue chip companies. The application process enables entrants to enhance their health and safety standards by encouraging reflecting practice, which contributes to continuing professional development (CPD), and emphasising the importance of ongoing learning to reducing workplace accidents.

In receiving a RoSPA Award, Donaldson Timber Systems is part of a proud legacy of organisations dedicated to keeping workers and the public safe, and among a small number of industry leaders to achieve the Order of Distinction.

David Nimmo, Construction Director at Donaldson Timber Systems, said: "Securing 16 consecutive Gold Awards in a row is a fantastic milestone, and we're proud be recognised for our ongoing dedication to raising the bar on health and safety.

"This achievement reflects the dedication and care shown by our people, day in and day out, in looking after one another, our supply chain partners and our customers. It's a shared success, truly showcasing how consistent we are as a team in maintaining health and safety best practices and keeping everyone safe."

Julia Small, RoSPA's Growth Director, said: "RoSPA congratulates Donaldson Timber Systems on their RoSPA Health and Safety Award. The high standards Donaldson Timber Systems has achieved are the result of hard work and dedication, of which they should be rightfully proud and which RoSPA is delighted to honour.  2026 is a landmark year for the RoSPA Awards as we reflect on how far workplace safety has come in 70 years. It is because of the commitment of health and safety leaders like Donaldson Timber Systems that people today are safer at work than in the past, and sets an inspiring example for the future."

The RoSPA Awards are sponsored by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH), a leading global organisation, which provides internationally recognised health, safety and environmental qualifications that raise the competence of safety and environmental professionals as well as individuals at all levels in the workplace.

Along with its health and safety credentials, Donaldson Timber Systems has achieved a range of third-party quality approvals, including BOPAS Plus, BBA, NHBC Accepts and STA Gold Assure, delivering the confidence that DTS products are durable and comply with building regulations and technical standards.
