Over the Easter weekend (4-5 April) a team of Huws Gray cyclists took on a 180-mile long cycle challenge from Gaerwen (Anglesey) to Cardiff in only two days to raise essential funding for Tŷ Gobaith/ Hope House Children’s Hospice.

The team included employees from the Gaerwen branch, head office and the timber mill based in Llangefni (Anglesey).

A spokesperson from the team said: "The conditions were tough with the wind and rain, which made it difficult, especially as we had to cycle 100 miles to our first stop at Rhaeadr.

"Arriving at the Millennium Stadium on Saturday afternoon (4 April) was a relief and it was a great experience. We're glad to have raised money for such a fantastic cause."

Senior area fundraiser for Hope House, Eluned Yaxley, added: "We're delighted with Huws Gray's continued support and we would like to thank the team for their fantastic effort over the Easter weekend. The funding will help us support and care for seriously ill children and their families throughout 2015 and beyond."
