Swindon builders merchant celebrates first anniversary

Published:  24 June, 2015

The one-year anniversary of independent builders merchants Amaroc, which supplies the external wall insulation, rendering and plastering trade, is being celebrated at its Swindon site.

Founders Dan Godwin and Phil Llewellyn created the company after they saw a gap in the market for render and external wall insulation materials and advice.

The opening of its River Ray Industrial Estate premises in 2014 was accompanied by an e-commerce website launch aided by partnerships with KRend, Jub, Parex, British Gypsum, Marshalltown and Refina.

Amaroc is the first specialist Refina spray centre in the UK.

The company says the success of its past year is owed in great part to support from the local building trade.

Mr Godwin said: “It’s a competitive industry but we’re trying to be different; we are very customer focused and offer a personal service. We have a strong technical team with many years’ rendering experience behind us.”
