Talis UK has expanded its sales team with the appointment of Gary Deacon as sales director. The company has also opened a new office in Birmingham to house its UK sales team, HR and business support staff.
Mr Deacon has over 30 years' sales experience and joins the team after two years at the Spear & Jackson Group where he held the position of managing director of Export.
In his new role Mr Deacon will be responsible for driving product sales forward and developing the brand and sales of other group products. He will manage a team of 22 employees.
Mark Hodgens, managing director of Talis UK, said: “We’re thrilled to welcome Gary to the team, particularly during what is proving to be a strong period of growth for Talis UK. He brings with him a wealth of experience within sales, coupled with a good knowledge of the industrial sector."
Mr Deacon added: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Talis UK, and am looking forward to using the experience I’ve gained over the years to help drive the company forward.”
