The team at the Godstone branch took part in the 24/7 Vital Cycle fundraising campaign to raise £20,000.

Fairalls builders' merchants, with branches in Godstone, Gatwick and Sevenoaks, clocked up 247 miles on a bike to raise money for Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex.

The Fairalls team at the Godstone took part in the 24/7 Vital Cycle fundraising campaign to help the charity raise £20,000.

Thomas Rawlinson, of the Godstone branch, said: "The bike arrived and we had it set-up at our shop entrance so customers could see our efforts. It was hard work but we did it. It was a great team effort and we cycled our way to over £2,000. We are very grateful for all the donations for the charity either in store or via our justgiving page.

"KSS Air Ambulance has been Fairalls' chosen charity for many years and we're proud to continue that support by raising this money and also as a main sponsor of 247 Vital Cycle campaign."

Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex provides world-class pre-hospital emergency medical care 24/7 to the 4.8 million people who live in Kent, Surrey and Sussex – and that is why the challenge is called the 247 Vital Cycle.

Helene Poursain, Director of Fundraising for Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, said: "We rely on the generosity of our fundraisers to be able to deliver our vital service."
