GPH Builders Merchants has announced the launch of GPH Trade Supplies, a dedicated trade-focused business created to provide contractors across the North of Scotland with fixings, ironmongery, power tools, PPE and site consumables.
Operating from a newly developed specialist branch in Ellon, Aberdeenshire, GPH Trade Supplies has been designed to meet the day-to-day requirements of everyone from sole traders and local joiners to national contractors delivering major infrastructure, commercial and public sector projects.
GPH Builders Merchants says the launch marks significant milestone for the independent family-owned business founded in Inverurie in 1982. While GPH has built its reputation over more than four decades as one of the North East's leading suppliers of building materials, timber, landscaping and civils products, the company recognised the need to provide its customers with a more specialist destination for the products that complete every project.
The expansion is particularly significant for existing GPH customers. Contractors purchasing timber, doors and joinery products from GPH can now source complete ironmongery solutions from a dedicated specialist team, creating a true one-stop shop that rivals specialist distributors anywhere in the UK.
Power tools have also become a major focus of the new business. GPH has returned to its roots as one of the area's power tool specialists, investing heavily in extensive displays and product ranges. Customers can experience the latest cordless technology, receive expert advice and benefit from comprehensive aftersales support from a knowledgeable team.
Beyond tools, the branch offers an extensive range of workwear, safety footwear and personal protective equipment, together with an in-house garment customisation service. Using professional heat-press technology, contractors can have workwear personalised with company logos and branding, allowing businesses to present a professional image while ensuring their workforce is fully equipped.
According to the company, the new branch has been developed around a simple philosophy: to make it easier for contractors to source everything they need from one trusted supplier.
