James Burrell’s annual Charity Golf Day has raised more than £5000 for its chosen charities of the year, Prostate Cancer UK and Mind.
Held at Northumberland Golf Club, the event welcomed 18 teams for a day of golf, fundraising and networking in support of two important causes.
Guests were greeted with bacon rolls and coffee before heading onto the course, with the day finishing with a BBQ buffet and prize presentation in the sunshine. Throughout the event, attendees took part in a range of fundraising activities, including mulligans and a charity raffle featuring prizes generously donated by suppliers and customers.
Nick Richardson, from the senior management team at James Burrell, said: "We'd like to thank everyone who contributed to making this year's Charity Golf Day such a success, from our sponsors and suppliers to all of the golfers who took part.
"The support we continue to receive is incredible, and we're proud that our fundraising total has now surpassed £30,000. We're looking forward to continuing our efforts throughout the rest of the year and seeing what more we can achieve.
"Prostate Cancer UK is a cause that is both personal and deeply important to the Richardson family, and we are extremely grateful to our suppliers and customers for getting behind it. We are also proud to support the work that Mind does across the construction industry.
Finally, a big thank you to Northumberland Golf Club for hosting the event. We're already looking forward to our customer golf day at the same venue in August, where we hope to enjoy another fantastic day of golf, fun, and fundraising for two great causes."
The business has now raised over £35,000 in total for the two charities.
