‘Colman’s Crusaders’ from MKM Building Supplies (Norwich) topped the table for the first time, at this year's BMF MasterMerchant competition.

This year's BMF MasterMerchant competition saw teams from merchants and suppliers take on a series of physical challenges over one of the hottest weekends of the year. The contest took place in Ingleton, North Yorkshire, known as the land of waterfalls and caves, both of which provided welcome respite as the teams tried their hand at canyoning and caving, after scaling rocky outcrops in the midday sun when temperatures hit 29°C.

The winning team was ‘Colman's Crusaders' from MKM Building Supplies (Norwich) who topped the table for the first time in 10 years.

However, everyone taking part gained from the experience, as Stephen Lee, who has run the event for the BMF for almost four decades, explained: "It's been a delight to watch so many people from within the Building Materials Industry make so many strong relationships and amazing memories together while having such a great time."

BMF CEO John Newcomb added: "MasterMerchant celebrates its 40th anniversary next year. The competition will return to the Lake District for the biggest and best event yet."
