A company picnic on a date that suits you will bring people together to share food, games and enjoy the outdoors all while raising donations will enable CRASH to continue to help charities.
This summer, CRASH is asking construction and property companies to unite for an industry-wide fundraiser, Picnic for CRASH, to raise donations for its vital work with homelessness charities and hospices.
CRASH charity recently increased the capacity of a homelessness charity in Leeds that had a long waiting list of people who need a home. Thanks to CRASH, its Corporate Patrons and supporters, Emmaus North East now has five extra bedrooms, so an additional five formerly homeless people have been given a place to call home and the chance to rebuild their lives.
"Purchasing the two flats which CRASH helped us renovate increased the capacity from 15 to 20 rooms," said John Machin, Chair of the Board of Trustees at Emmaus North-East.
"Apart from allowing us to help more homeless people, these flats provide accommodation for companions who are ready to "move on" from living with Emmaus to having their own place and outside employment. This is what all our companions aspire to.
"We could not have done it without the help and assistance of CRASH, its Corporate Patrons and supporters. They were a joy to work with and we owe them a big thanks."
