Selco Builders Warehouse has launched a new delivery management system designed to give tradespeople greater visibility and control over their deliveries, helping them to plan their working day.
With the new system, Selco customers will receive a two-hour delivery slot the day before their delivery, making it easier to plan their workload without spending the day waiting around. On the day of delivery, live updates and real-time tracking provide visibility of the entire delivery journey, helping tradespeople manage their time and keep jobs on track.
Once their order has been delivered, customers will also receive instant proof of delivery sent directly to their inbox.
Following more than a year of working closely with customers to better understand the challenges tradespeople face across the UK, Selco has launched its new Sorted campaign, introducing tangible solutions designed to make life easier for the trade.
The new and improved delivery system is another step in Selco's commitment to being with tradespeople for every job and giving them more control over their working day. By offering a more transparent and reliable delivery service, Selco is helping customers plan ahead and keep their projects moving.
David Rose, Supply Chain Director at Selco Builders Warehouse, said: "We know our customers have enough jobs on their to-do list without waiting around all day for a delivery. A big part of our approach is listening to customers, and some of the key feedback we received highlighted the desire for a reliable delivery service with simple, consistent communications to make their lives easier.
"Our new system puts them firmly in the driving seat, with a two-hour delivery window, live tracking and instant proof of delivery – so they can spend less time clock-watching and more time cracking on with the job."
