A builder from Surrey is dusting off his passport and looking forward to a holiday of a lifetime after winning a national competition with the builders’ merchant.
Sebastian Froggatt, who owns AOF Building Services, has won a holiday voucher worth £10,000 through the Perk Builder scheme operated by Travis Perkins.
The 29-year-old from Shirley has been in the building trade since becoming an apprentice at the age of 16, working for his father Adrian Froggatt whom the business is named after. Froggatt took over the company when his father retired in 2020.
The Perk Builder scheme is a loyalty programme which enables Travis Perkins customers to exchange their points for products and also enters them into a prize draw. Froggatt's was the first name drawn out for the main prize.
Froggatt commented: "I genuinely still can't believe I won – I've never been very lucky with prize draws in the past so this came completely out of the blue.
"Travis Perkins have been a brilliant partner to my business and their reliable service has really helped me grow it, so to win this prize on top is the icing on the cake.
"I was initially thinking of using the voucher as a holiday for relaxing on a beach, but my nearly four-year-old son has other ideas so we will be off snowboarding as he is desperate to learn.
"My fellow director Sam (Thompson) is also planning a trip to Barcelona with the voucher, so it's going to be two memorable trips and we are hugely grateful for Travis Perkins for the opportunity."
Douglas Blake, Manager of the Burgh Heath Travis Perkins branch, added: "Sebastian has been a regular in our branch for a number of years and it's fantastic that he has won this great prize out of all the Perk Builder members across the UK.
"It's created a buzz of excitement in the branch and the Perk Builder scheme is another example of the many ways we support local tradespeople at Travis Perkins."
