Projects to support local communities across the south west of England have received crucial funding support from TPMS as part of its work with social housing provider, Curo.
Travis Perkins Managed Services (TPMS) provides materials and products for the repair and maintenance of the social housing sector, working directly with housing associations and local authorities. In 2015 the company was appointed as material supplier for Curo's 14,000 social housing properties across the south west.
Social value is an important part of TPMS' work, with funding ringfenced for investment in social value projects at the start of each contract. This is then used to support projects in the local area that provide meaningful improvements to the communities in which they're working.
So far in 2026, TPMS has delivered 13 social value projects in the south west, with a value of £26,000.
These have included providing brand new training kit to St Bernadette's Under 12s Rugby Team in Hartcliffe; improvements to the Radstock Scout Hall with a new water heater, fresh flooring and taps in the kitchen; and supporting cooking workshops at the Bath Foyer as part of the Community Kitchen project.
Michelle Smith, Social Value Manager at TPMS, said: "Social value is such an important part of what we do. By supporting initiatives such as these we can see the benefits from contracts with local authorities and housing associations ripple out to the wider community.
"We have a great relationship with Curo and we're genuinely delighted to have supported them in delivering support across this incredible range of different projects. Local authorities and housing providers are stretched really thin at the moment, so we want to make sure that we're going above-and-beyond and supporting our customers and their communities.
"We've seen really clearly that employability, upskilling, and inspiring the younger generation is really important and there's a lot of emphasis placed on initiatives with those kind of objectives at their heart."
Based in Bath, Somerset, Curo is a housebuilder and housing association which has properties that are home to some 28,000 residents.
Sarah Mahadevan, Contract Administrator for Supply Chain and Fleet at Curo, said: "Travis Perkins Managed Services has supported some fantastic projects which have helped Curo residents and local charities over the past few months. Their support has ranged from developing an allotment in Bath for people living with dementia and funding sports uniforms, to hosting baby music classes.
"These projects have contributed to building stronger communities and supporting people who call a Curo property ‘home'. The team at TPMS has been wonderful to work with, offering their time and input as well as funding. We very much appreciate their support."
