DUNDEE: Contractor W H Brown Construction has been placed in receivership.

DUNDEE: Contractor W H Brown Construction has been placed in receivership.

Company directors at Brown and its subsidiary Bronco Timber Products called in receivers from Ernst & Young on Monday.

Receiver Derek Hyslop said: "Despite the best efforts of the directors, difficult economic conditions have resulted in a situation where the immediate cessation of trading is necessary at both companies.

"We are now focused on establishing the full extent of the companyÕs debts as we aim to realise its assets on behalf of its creditors."

Brown has been working across the East of Scotland for 40 years on contracts worth up to £9m.
