CHEADLE HULME: Tile and flooring retailer, Topps Tiles, reported a 2.1% rise in like-for-like sales during the 13 weeks to 30 June.
The rise compares to a 1.9% fall last year. The improvement came during the wettest April-to-June period on record, which benefited the retailer as its customers were more willing to work on DIY projects, it says.
The group, which reported a 23% fall in adjusted pre-tax profits to £5.6m in the 26 weeks to 31 March, said it is line to meet full-year market expectations.
