Stockists of Liberon’s woodcare products know they can buy them at a good price and sell them at decent volumes, thanks primarily to the fact that their customers trust the well-established brand to achieve the high-quality results their customers want.

With woodcare in its DNA, the brand has a range of products for interior use, complemented by an exterior timber decking oil that  affords stockists consistently good sales levels. Now Liberon is turning to other formulations for exterior application that will continue its tradition of offering trade users genuine benefits, and therefore new sales opportunities for stockists.  First up is a new ‘Superior Protection Woodstain'.

The new woodstain not only marks a turning point in product development for Liberon, but ushers in a whole new livery for packaging, including a new logo. The impressive new look is the result of investment in the brand in order to modernise it. This investment will see other products in the range also follow suit.

Commenting on the launch, Liberon's UK Marketing Manager, Richard Bradley says:

"We're confident that the impactful new livery showcased by the new Liberon Superior Protection Woodstain will be warmly welcomed by stockists who will be pleased to have it on their shelves. The packaging's modern treatment places it visually way ahead of other exterior woodcare products. We'll also have news shortly of how else we're investing in the brand in order to differentiate it from others, and to make stocking and buying our products easier than ever. Watch this space!"

Better weather means that now is the ideal time to stock woodcare products for exterior application. Time spent now properly protecting exterior woodwork means it will be shielded from the summer sunshine that can damage it, and the worst that autumn and winter can throw at it. Customers will be on the hunt for a high quality woodstain to ensure that external woodwork is water resistant so that it will not rot. It is a good idea to advise customers that the right woodstain will create a barrier, which protects the wood from water and the sun. Plus, if the customer's client also has a certain colour tone in mind for their external woodwork, then woodstain is ideal for achieving it.

In addition to stocking a long-established, trusted brand with the experience to offer only reliable products that the trade can trust, it is important to have on the shelf a woodstain with good longevity. Liberon's new Superior Protection Woodstain has an 8-year guarantee for outstanding protection that makes it ideal for outdoor cladding, window frames or doors.

After just 3 hours the first coat is dry ready for the application of a second coat, which is all that is needed. So, unlike most other comparable woodstains, the job can be completed in one day, which is good news for customers' time management and therefore their profitability.

With a quick-drying satin finish that enhances exterior timber, the new woodstain is smooth and simple to apply. Whilst being water-repellent, it nevertheless has a formulation that makes it microporous once dry, which allows wood to breathe.

With a non-drip formulation, the woodstain is suitable for most woods, hard and soft, new or old, and can be applied over most existing woodstains. Its formulation makes it flexible with wood movement. This great quality woodstain is water-repellent and has UV filters, making it ideal for outdoor woods that are exposed to bad weather conditions or lots of sun.

Liberon Superior Protection Woodstain is available in six colours, including Clear, Light Oak, Medium Oak, Dark Oak, Mahogany and an attractive grey shade called Charcoal. Colours are formulated in a satin finish. Available in 750ml and 2.5L tins, the 750ml size is enough to cover 9m2 and the 2.5L tin enough to cover 30m2.
