The board of Alumasc has announced the suspension of CEO Pamela Bingham pending an investigation of her professional conduct.
Alumasc said the Bingham, whose appointment was announced in January, has been suspended while it carries out an investigation of her conduct. However it didn't provide further details of the allegations against Bingham that prompted the move. This will be supported by professional advisers.
Bingham joined the Alumasc's Board on 2 March 2026 as CEO Designate before taking over as CEO on the retirement of Paul Hooper on 31 March 2026. She has over 20 years' experience at international manufacturing businesses, most recently as CEO of Eriks UK & Ireland.
While this process is ongoing, Vijay Thakrar, Non-Executive Chair, will assume the role and responsibilities of Executive Chair temporarily, with immediate effect. He will be supported by the group's Divisional Managing Directors and Chief Financial Officer.
The news came on the same day as the company was publishing a trading update in which it stated it "continues to deliver a very resilient performance amidst a challenging market backdrop, and enters the new financial year with a significantly expanded order book".
Contacted by BMN, Alumasc declined to comment beyond its original regulatory announcement to the stock market.
