William Paterson joins Hahn Plastics as the firm targets commercial growth in Scotland and the North East.

Hahn Plastics UK (HPUK) has appointed a new Business Development Manager for Scotland and the North East, as it looks to further commercial growth and build greater awareness of recycled plastic as a smarter material for long-term outdoor infrastructure.

William Paterson has joined the Greater Manchester manufacturer and brings more than 20 years' experience in construction material sales, including work across the construction, oil and gas and energy markets. He also brings experience across a range of specialist sectors, including data centres, food and beverage, and pharmaceuticals.

In his new role, Paterson will be responsible for growing HPUK's presence across Scotland and the North East, developing relationships with existing and prospective customers and identifying new opportunities for the company's range of recycled plastic products.

He joins as HPUK continues to invest in its people and UK operations, following a multi-million-pound programme to develop its manufacturing site in Greater Manchester and support the continued use of post-consumer plastic as a manufacturing resource.

Paterson said: "It's great to be joining at what is clearly an exciting time for HPUK, and I'm looking forward to working for a business that puts sustainability and innovation at its core.

"There is a huge opportunity for the business to grow in Scotland and the North East, and I'm excited to get out into the market, build new relationships and help more organisations understand what recycled plastics can offer.

"It's a business with ambitious plans for the future, and I'm looking forward to playing my part in its growth."

Max Cardona, General Manager at HPUK, said: "We're delighted to welcome William to HPUK at a time when we're continuing to invest significantly in our operations and people.

"We see significant opportunities to grow our presence across both regions, and William will play an important role in building new relationships, strengthening existing ones and helping us introduce HPUK to new customers and markets."

Founded in 1993, HPUK leads the market in manufacturing high-quality alternatives to virgin plastic, wood, concrete, and steel, that are made entirely from recycled plastic waste. The business transforms post-consumer waste into durable, long-lasting products, supporting sustainable manufacturing and the circular economy.
