Hahn Plastics UK (HPUK) has appointed Steven Sankey as its new Facilities Manager as part of its multi-million-pound drive in modernising its UK operations.

Steven Sankey joins the Greater Manchester-based manufacturer with more than 25 years of experience in facilities management, site operations and health and safety within the manufacturing sector.

In his new role, Sankey will lead an internal facilities team while overseeing contractors across the site, as well as helping to manage and improve HPUK's day-to-day operations.

Working closely with the senior leadership team, Sankey will also play a key role in the company's ongoing investment programme, including using his experience in digital systems to improve site processes and create a more modern working environment for employees and contractors.

Commenting on his appointment, Sankey said: "I'm really happy to join Hahn at what is such a pivotal and exciting time for the business. There is a genuine commitment to investing in the site and the systems needed to support long-term growth, and I'm looking forward to playing my part in supporting that growth.

"What has stood out to me since joining is the positive attitude across the business and the willingness to embrace new ideas and improvements. There is a great opportunity to build on the progress already being made, and I'm excited to work with colleagues across the site as we continue to modernise the operation and prepare for the future."

Noel Marques-Neves, Operations Director at Hahn Plastics UK, added: "Steven brings more than 25 years of experience and a practical understanding of what it takes to run a safe and well-organised manufacturing site. He has made a positive impact since joining the business and has quickly become an important part of our wider modernisation plans.

"His experience goes far beyond what many people would associate with facilities management, particularly when it comes to digital systems and continuous improvement. As we continue to invest in the site, Steven's expertise will help us improve the way we work, support our people and ensure we're well positioned for future growth."
