Breedon Aggregates has been presented with the Best Construction & Materials award in the 2014 Stock Market Awards, run by Shares magazine in association with KPMG.
At a glittering ceremony at the Park Lane Hotel in London, hosted by BBC star Giles Brandreth, Breedon beat off competition to win the coveted trophy, which was presented to group chief executive Simon Vivian. The award was given in recognition of the company’s outstanding performance over the past year.
Nominations were secured through votes from Shares magazine readers and StockMarketWire subscribers, and via invitations to company directors, brokers and financial PR consultancies.
Breedon’s chairman Peter Tom said: “We’re delighted that Breedon’s achievements have been acknowledged in this prestigious award. We’re proud to share it with all of our 1,000 employees in England and Scotland, because it’s their dedication and hard work that made it possible.”
