City Heating Spares, part of the Group Spares division of Travis Perkins plc, has completed the roll-out of its award-winning 'Drop Box' service in City Plumbing Supplies branches across its network.
The service, which allows installers across the country to place spares orders up to 8pm for collection at 8am, is now available at all suitable and accessible branches of City Plumbing Supplies.
The Drop Box scheme won the 'Best Customer Service' award at the 2015 BMN Awards.
The Drop Boxes use a specialist courier to ensure orders arrive overnight, ready for collection as soon as the trade counter opens. This includes orders placed on Friday evening for pick-up on Saturday morning.
The City Heating Spares team is also trialling new ideas such as the delivery of spares directly into customer vans, with the potential for a bespoke solution that widens this reach to project sites or any other location that is of value to the installer.
Andy Nolan, spares project manager at City Heating Spares, said: “This milestone underlines the continued success of an innovative service that reliably meets the ongoing demand for urgent spares deliveries. The Drop Box service gives our customers more time to spend on the job, maximising profit and project timescales.”
