Reisser’s chairman Charles Ledigo has been recognised as “one of the finest and leading examples in his industry” by Variety, The Children’s Charity, at its annual awards ceremony.
Mr Ledigo was presented with a Legends of Industry Award at the event, held at the Hilton Hotel, Manchester on Wednesday 12 November. The awards night honours those who have achieved outstanding success in their chosen fields of business, sport and industry. Other winners on the night included Olympic skating stars Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean, former world snooker champion Dennis Taylor and best-selling crime author Martina Cole.
The event helped to raise thousands of pounds for Variety, which supports sick, disabled and disadvantaged children and young people in the North West region.

Past recipients have included: Duncan Bannatyne OBE (The Bannatyne Group), Eamonn Holmes (broadcaster and television presenter), John Thomson (actor and comedian), John Nichols (Nichols plc), Mike Oglesby CBE DL (Bruntwood Estates), Lynda La Plante CBE, Trevor Sorbie MBE (Trevor Sorbie Hairdressing) and Dave Whelan (DW Fitness).
