STIRLINGSHIRE: A new bank of six kilns has recently been commissioned at James Jones & Sons' Lockerbie facility.

General manager Eddie Balfour stated: "In addition to our existing kiln capacity, these new kilns will enable us to dry the company's entire carcassing output and will help us to improve and enhance our carcassing capabilities."

Following the recent £25m investment in the new sawline at Lockerbie and significant additional capital expenditure in secondary processing, the kiln facility upgrade will enable the group to focus on enhancing its range of products and services.
