As the industry’s longest running awards ceremony hits 25, the process begins to find the businesses or individuals whose outstanding achievements are worthy of recognition among their peers.

The Builders’ Merchants Awards, one of the industry’s most-loved events as it recognises and celebrates excellence by businesses of all sizes and the people who work for them, have reached a significant milestone this year – they are 25 years old.

Launched in 2001, the event has grown exponentially each year and now offers awards across 26 categories - including the new Merchant Employee of the Year Award - plus the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award.

To celebrate a quarter of the century, the Builders’ Merchants  Awards will be the biggest and boldest yet. Featuring a pre-drinks reception, sumptuous three course meal, and awards ceremony - hosted by a celebrity guest - the event won’t end at its usual time of 5pm. Instead the 750 plus in attendance can continue to party at the Park Plaza Westminster Bridge in London at the Anniversry After Party. As always, the calibre of every winner of a Builders’ Merchants Award can never be underestimated.
Whether it is a company or an individual’s name on the trophy, it guarantees recognition among your peers.

Each category focuses on accomplishment, with every single entry being evaluated on its own merits, rather than on the name of the organisation.

This commitment to objective assessment allows the Builders’ Merchants Awards to identify and celebrate the most impactful and innovative contributions within the industry.

Last year there were more than 200 submissions and, with the extended day of celebration, the Builders’ Merchants Awards team is confident that figure will be surpassed.
