Wolseley Group has promoted Simon Dennis to the role of Managing Director for the Wolseley Infrastructure division.
Dennis steps into the role after leading Jointing Tech, a brand within the division, and brings nearly two decades of experience within the group.
Starting at Fusion Utilities in 2007, Dennis joined the industry straight out of university. Over the years, he has worked across sales, operations, hire and commercial roles, building a broad understanding of the civils and utilities infrastructure markets, along with the needs of customers on the ground. Since Fusion’s acquisition by Wolseley Group in 2014, he has also taken on a number of leadership roles across the wider Infrastructure division.
More recently, he led Jointing Tech through a period of transition following its acquisition, helping to strengthen the business and support its integration into the wider Wolseley Infrastructure offering.
Commenting on his new role, Dennis said: "I’m really looking forward to this next chapter at Wolseley Infrastructure. My focus is on keeping things moving in the right direction – building on the three-year strategy we have in place - and making sure we deliver on our promise to customers while keeping our people engaged. We have a passionate team here, and it’s important that everyone feels supported, knows the direction we’re heading, and has opportunities to develop their careers.
“For our customers, it’s about giving them confidence that we’re the best choice for them, whether that’s through our expertise, fast responses or making sure we always deliver on our promises. The stronger our teams are, the better service we can provide, and that will naturally drive growth for the business.
“There’s a lot happening in the industry right now, from the move to Net Zero and energy infrastructure projects, to government-outlined investments in water and housing. Our goal at Wolseley Infrastructure is to make sure our customers can take full advantage of these opportunities, with the right products, technical expertise and support to get their projects delivered efficiently and confidently.”
Dennis' time at Jointing Tech has given him a fresh perspective, bringing him closer to key customer and supplier relationships across the sector.
Looking ahead, a key priority will be strengthening the customer offer, ensuring contractors can rely on fast responses, strong technical expertise and dependable supply across infrastructure projects.
Wolseley Infrastructure continues to invest heavily in technical capability and approved products across its specialist ranges, helping customers work with confidence that the materials they are using meet the standards required for vital infrastructure projects.
The business is also committed to supporting the wider industry by helping to develop skills and attract new talent into the sector, while continuing to work closely with suppliers to ensure customers have access to the products and expertise they need.
