Senior leaders from Travis Perkins Hire will swap the boardroom for the coastal path in October to raise money for charity as they take on a section of the Jurassic Coast.
The Managing Director of one of the UK's largest hire operators, Ian Sharman-Jones, along with other members of the business' senior leadership team (SLT), will walk more than 13 miles to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer's Society, the company's chosen charity.
Dementia is the UK's biggest killer and one in three people born today will develop the condition in their lifetime. Alzheimer's Society is the UK's leading dementia charity – providing help and hope to everyone affected.
Starting at Corfe Castle in Dorset, the route will see the SLT climb onto Purbeck Ridge before making their way into Kimmeridge Bay. They then head back onto the coastal path before completing a loop and ending the journey where they started.
The walk will contain 1,500 feet of climbing and is expected to take more than four hours for the nine-strong team to complete, with a fundraising target of £3,000.
