Northern Ireland firm Acheson & Glover (A&G), supplier of premium quality hard landscaping products, is kick-starting the New Year with a new team.
"A&G is experiencing exciting times in Great Britain," said managing director Stephen Acheson. "Our ongoing relationship with the h&b group has been confirmed and we have just secured a two-year supplier contract with NBG. Together, these two deals firmly establish A&G as a major player in the GB hard landscaping market.
"Our commercial director, Stuart Cook, who has been heavily involved in our strategy for introducing A&G to merchants in the mainland, will now be taking a new role within the company. As from 1 February 2013 Stuart will be working directly with A&G's chief executive officer Raymond Acheson on special projects.
"The change is timely with A&G's increasing strength in GB and Stuart's plans to retire in early 2014. It gives us the opportunity to ensure a smooth transition and I will be more directly involved in the strategy for GB."
Mr Acheson will be supported by a six-man team and the appointment of a new national sales and key account manager, Stuart Thomas.
Mr Thomas joins from Charcon, where he worked in senior sales positions across the business. "The team, Stuart and I will ensure the continued development of A&G in GB. Our merchant-only, merchant-friendly policy, along with the implementation of our Outside Rooms concept, means merchants can be assured of our ongoing innovative thinking throughout 2013," Mr Acheson concluded.
